DDR in Schools

Fatties In West Virginia Get DDR Machines

West Virginia must have one hell of an obesity problem, because the state recently decided that a Dance Dance Revolution arcade unit will be put in every public school to curb childhood obesity. Though playing DDR doesn’t make you a better dancer, it’s by all means a great way for those not familiar with exercise or just casual exercise to get a short workout.

A study showed that 50 overweight children, aged 7 to 12, reduced risks like heart disease and diabetes when playing DDR at home for 30-minutes a day, five days a week. With video games increasing in the role the play with students, maybe we’ll see kids playing Wii Sports indoors on rainy days as opposed to just sitting around.

Okay, yeah. I'm one of those weird people that go around looking at other blogs via common interests/music/whatever.

I think it would be awesome if we had a DDR in every school...I love the thing...ha ha.

I'll stop being weird and get back to my homework now. (That's probably a lie.)
